Department: Teaching Learning and Assessment Team

Main purpose of job:Buttercups Training is currently seeking enthusiastic and motivated pharmacy tutors to deliver and assess the underpinning knowledge programme. The successful applicants will demonstrate excellent communication skills as well as the ability to deliver high quality teaching, learning and assessment. Candidates must hold suitable industry qualifications and have experience in the vocational sector.

The role may include tutoring, monitoring, reviewing, assessing and guiding learners. Successful applicants will be expected to attend regular meetings, undertake appropriate CPD and develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

Duties include:

  • Assess UPK
  • Complete teaching where required for learners
  • Ensure timely progress for learners and manage course deadlines, extensions within guidelines from Buttercups and clients.
  • Maintain accurate records in the LMS including e-portfolio
  • Liaise with specialists when there are special needs for learners
  • Liaise with team coordinators to raise concerns to employers
  • Contribute to QA by attending required training/standardisation meetings/events/activities

Responsible to: Funding Team Leader
Department: Funding Team
Main purpose of job: To perform general administrative duties in the Funding Team as required.
Duties include:

  • Discussing course progress with learners and their managers
  • Data entry to and maintenance of student records
  • Creating and maintaining MS Excel spreadsheets
  • Maintaining records, filing systems and computer files
  • Mailbox management
  • Completing and auditing enrolment and on-programme funding paperwork
  • Completing on-programme calls with learners
  • Answering enquiries by telephone
  • Writing and dispatching correspondence
  • Photocopying, archiving and scanning documents
  • Assisting Funding Team Leader as necessary
  • Undertaking any other tasks/duties as may be reasonably required.

Role
As a Funding Administrator, you will be expected to act as part of the Funding Team and as such your job will involve you in supporting other members of the team, whilst managing your own workload, to ensure that team objectives are met on a day to day basis. Your job is to complete administrative duties assigned to the Funding Team.

Relevant Skills and Experience
Buttercups Training are looking to appoint an experienced administrator or a candidate with relevant work experience in an office-based environment and strong organisational skills. Applicants must be IT literate with strong word-processing skills, be competent using Microsoft Word and Excel, and be able to work both independently and as a part of a multi-skilled team. They will be expected to have a high degree of accuracy and good telephone manner. Knowledge of the Pharmacy, Education and Training Sector is not required as full training will be provided as part of the induction process but applicants are advised that a positive, can-do attitude is an essential part of organisational culture at Buttercups Training.

Salaries and benefits
The starting salary is competitive, depending on experience. The successful candidate will be offered a contract totalling 37 hours per week working set hours between 8:30am and 4:30pm.
