At last Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is available for Medicine Counter Assistants. The Academy for Medicine Counter Assistants is designed primarily for Medicine Counter Assistants who are interested in furthering their Continuing Professional Development.
Membership allows access to a variety of modules covering the treatment and management of minor ailments in the pharmacy. The Academy comprises of knowledge modules - interactive topics where the focus is on understanding the subject, and Virtual Pharmacies. The Virtual Pharmacy is a scenario-based learning environment where learners are presented with a customer who they must interact with and use their knowledge and communication skills in order to reach a satisfactory conclusion. Our Virtual Pharmacy has been nominated twice for e-learning awards for it's problem solving based approach to learning.
