Buttercups Supports Community Pharmacies to Access NHS Funding

NHS England is offering a financial training contribution of £15,053 per pre-registration pharmacy technician (PTPT), per year for two years, as part of their Community Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship Programme.

The funding is being offered to support sites in developing an employer-led, work-based training programme which meets the GPhC initial education and training (IET) standards for pharmacy technicians and the Health Education England (HEE) quality framework.

There are 530 place available with a maximum of 22 places available for each community pharmacy organisations with multiple sites. The Buttercups Pharmacy Technician Training Programme (Apprenticeship Pathway) is an eligible programme for pharmacies to receive this funding.

Application Process

Applications are submitted through an online Expression of Interest Form, which must be submitted by 23:59 on Sunday 13th October 2024.
